Obituary

Remembered Forever
Linda Darnell Keim - Feb 4, 1951 - June 29, 2020

Linda Darnell Keim was born on February 4, 1951 in Herbert, Saskatchewan to Ted and Helen Irwin. She was the middle girl of 5 sisters and grew up in Chaplin, Saskatchewan and Calgary where she went to school and worked. At 16, she met and later married Larry Keim on March 29, 1968 in Calgary. They were happily married for 52 years and lived in the Carstairs area where they raised their family. They had 2 sons; Steven November 1970 & Michael October 1972. After raising their boys she worked at the Olds Auction Mart then the Town of Carstairs, as well as looking after their home based mechanical contracting business. Linda enjoyed camping, riding dirt bikes and loved being with the people that mattered most to her. Linda and Larry shared many adventures and in their later years loved looking after their grandkids. She helped look after her grandkids and loved watching them play sports, concerts and school functions. Camping at the lake and watching her family enjoy the boat and water skiing was something she looked forward to every summer. She enjoyed the acreage where her and Larry call home, she loved her animals, planting flowers, decorating and shopping. She was always her happiest at family events like birthday parties for her grandkids and holiday dinners. She had a special bond with both her boys, her daughter-in laws and grandkids. Linda leaves behind by her loving husband Larry; sons Steven (Debbie) and Michael (Jodi); grandchildren Russell, Samantha, Tyler (Chelsie), Jacob, Zachary, Shylene, Terri; great- grandson Rylind; sisters, Donna (Randy) Feddema, Bev Walker, Susan (Bruce) Ross, Bonnie (Brian) Banks; brothers-in-laws; Ron (Diane) Keim, Sid Keim; sister-in-law Donna (Earl) Norndon as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her parents Ted and Helen Irwin; nieces Brenda Sauer, Sandy Sauer; father-in-law Walter Keim and brother-in-law Dennis Keim. Due to the current pandemic, there will be a private service for immediate family held Friday July 10, 2020. A Summer Follow up Celebration at the acreage will be announced in the weeks to come. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to Tom Baker Cancer Centre or Mountainview Food Bank.
