Kristine called me MOSES why I have no idea, but it stuck and even into her later years it was always Moses. They had an Old Billy Goat, supposed to keep any wandering Bulls away from Johnny's cows. Well that Goat had an infinity for me and really liked when I came home late, as I drove into the yard he would be waiting with his head down. If I tried to get out of my car he would stand with his front legs on top of my car preventing me from opening the Driver's door. Many a night I crawled out the passenger door and ran for the old outhouse.
Often Kristine would be up and laughing like crazy at the old Goat, and only when she knocked on the window would the goat look up and see her and leave me alone long enough to get into the house. I swear she gave it sugar cubes or something and he probably wanted the same from me. She would laugh with tears streaming down her face and invite me to have a coffee with her, as Johnny wasn't out of bed yet.
Not only did she work at Hannigan's, but was very active cooking at the Auction Mart in Olds as well, I know I laughed often while staying with Kristine and Johnny, the pair of them touched many lives over the years and we all benefitted big time. Rest in Peace Mom we will meet again and have even more laughs....Moses
