1923-2016
Mr. Fred Blackmore after a life of love, family and friends passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the age of 92 years at Bethany College Side in Red Deer. Fred was born on March 31, 1923 in Maryfield, Saskatchewan. He married the love of his life and best friend on August 16, 1952. Together he and Beth farmed, travelled and spent 63 wonderful years together. Fred is survived by his wife Beth Blackmore his children; Lois (Ed) Dickin of Red Deer, Gordon (Tee) Blackmore of Regina, Marg (Barry) Williscroft of Innisfail and one sister Mary Lund of Regina. He is further survived by his grandchildren; Scott (Mandy) Dickin, Sarah (Jason) Jaster, Brittany (Brody) Leveille, Kirk (Melissa) Williscroft, Adam Blackmore, Greg Blackmore and 5 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Fred’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Gatez Memorial United Church, Red Deer at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Memory of Fred may be directed to Gaetz Memorial United Church, 4758 Ross Street, Red Deer, AB T4N 1X2, Red Deer or The Lending Cupboard 5406C - 43 Street, Red Deer, AB, T4N 1C9.
