Obituary for Duane Murray Haight

The peaceful passing of our dear Papa, father, husband, son, brother and friend occurred on February 21, 2016 at the Red Deer Hospital holding hands with his loving wife Barb. Duane will be forever treasured by his wife Barb, mother Marjorie, brother Dale (Tracy), sister Brenda (Greg); children Danica (Darren), Jessie, Brittany (Jon), Karen (Derek), Bill (Beth), Brad (Trisha); grandchildren Kennedi, Abygail, Kees, Aliyah, Wyatt, Dalton, Jadyn, Kaela, Billy, Arianna, Buster and Huxley; his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Duane was predeceased by his father Murray. Duane was born and raised on the Haight family farm at Floral, SK where he attended Clavet School. As a youth he won numerous awards in 4H and enjoyed Tae Kwon Do. Duane farmed, trucked and owned Midwest Enterprises, a pilot car service. He loved family, woodworking, movies, and had an artistic flair. Duane was a phenomenal chef and his greatest love was to create a fantastic meal to share with family and friends. The family wishes to express their sincerest thanks to Dr. Ford, Dr. Jim and Dr. Nogaretta. A celebration of Duane’s life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Heartland Funeral Services at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
