Obituary for Don Llewellyn

With deepest sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Donald Lewis Llewellyn. Don leaves to mourn his loving wife, best friend and partner Christine, his two sons Donald Kreg and his wife Krista, Lewis Jaret, his wife Britta and his dear grandson Dorien Lewis.
Don had four sisters Joan (Don) Snow, Nora (Brian) Austin, Janet (Roy) Kelly, Ruth (Greg) Llewellyn Handford and many loving nieces and nephews.
Don was predeceased by his father Lewis John and Beatrice Mary (nee Niblock) Llewellyn
His love of family extended to all the Daines and Carritt families, where he always offered his
helping hand.
We want to thank his lifelong friend Rollie and his wife Connie Evans and his skiing buddy
Bruce Dodd.
Don was born on January 17, 1950 and lived his life in the Town of Innisfail. He partnered with his father in the family business of Llewellyn Electric, established in 1937. He was a Master Plumber for 47 years. Don had a special passion for hard work and serving his community, where his customers were his friends. He touched everyone he met with his wonderful sense of humor and compassion for anyone needing his helping hand. It was common for him to work a full day and then work a few more hours if someone needed his help. A big thank you to Mark Barlem, loyal employee of 25 years.
Don loved all sports and was talented at many. He was a lifelong member of the Innisfail Eagles, where he played for twelve years. Don coached minor hockey for fifteen years.
His love of waterskiing continually grew as his sons Kreg and Jaret took on the world at competitions around the globe becoming World Champions and World Record Holders. Of late he
was following his grandson Dorien become the new generation of World Champions. Don and Chris traveled to most international competitions with their boys to lend a hand and their support wherever needed. The water ski community became another family he loved to spend time with. Always ready
to drive the boat, build a jump ramp, or anything that was needed.
Don’s life celebration will be held on Saturday, April 19 at 2.00 PM in the Innisfail Arena.
address 5804- 42 Street, Innisfail, Alberta
