Obituary for Christopher Porter Crouch

Porter Crouch, Christopher James
Christopher James Porter Crouch of Olds, Alberta passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the age of 28 years. Christopher was born Tuesday, December 8, 1981 in Olds on a beautiful Chinook day. He was raised in Sundre and attended school there. After graduation, he explored many fields of work; his love was cooking. Christopher was an artist in the raw and had an extra ordinary untrained talent in painting, drawing and writing. He shared his talent openly with his family, giving them paintings, drawings and written work. Christopher’s smile brought sunshine. He saw life through eyes that saw differently than most of us. He made you try and think outside the box. Christopher was proud and overjoyed with the birth of his son, Alexander. He was especially excited to introduce the little one to his Grandma Picard who he had a very deep connection with. Christopher’s relationship with his siblings; Joanna and Delaney was like all sibling relationships. It was filled with laughter, fighting, truth, support and love. He had a gentleness about him that made someone feel special. Christopher will forever be loved, missed deeply and remembered. Christopher’s memory will be cherished by his Mom Suzanne Crouch and Dad Steven Crouch both of Sundre. His memory will be further cherished by his Father Jim Porter of Olds and his Sister Delaney Crouch of Sundre. Christopher is also survived by his brother-in-law Renn Davidson, grandmother Rosemary Crouch, Grandfather Ken Crouch and his God-Parents Mark and Kelly Dziadek all of Sundre as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Christopher was pre-deceased by his Sister Joanna Davidson, Grandmother Yvonne Picard and Grandparents Joseph and Marie Porter. A Memorial Service in memory of Christopher was held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Faith Lutheran Church, 205 – 11th Street N.E., Sundre, Alberta with Pastor Gary Aicken officiating. Following the memorial service Christopher was laid to rest at the Lobley Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donation s can be made to Greenwood Neighborhood Place (For Future Crisis And Addictions Programs), P.O. Box 1846, Sundre, Alberta T0M 1X0.
