Obituary for Audrey Grace Charlton
Audrey Grace Charlton of Bonanza, AB, passed away peacefully in Spirit River on April 28, 2014. She was born in Didsbury, AB., on August 22, 1957. She was raised in Spruce View and moved to Bonanza in 1997.
Audrey went to school in Spruce View. After graduating she found work in the Water Valley/Cremona area. It didn’t take long before she was back on the family farm to help out while her father was away at work. While living at home she held various other jobs.
Audrey loved being on the farm and spending time on the back of a horse especially Ghost. She was a farm girl thru and thru.
In 1997 Audrey moved to Spirit Rover to care for her aunt Grace. From there she moved to Bonanza to care for her great aunt Peg. When Aunt Peg passed away Audrey remained on the farm until her passing. Audrey was involved in the community both in Spruce View and Bonanza area. Audrey was stubborn and hardworking. She loved her friends and family and was willing to lend a hand. She touched so many lives and hearts and will be dearly missed.
Audrey is survived by her father Ray Charlton of Spruce View, sisters Karen (Garry) of Raymond, Marilyn (Charles) Boyer of Devon, Cheryl (Alan) Norman of Vegreville, Sandra Charlton of Innisfail and brother Kevin (Barb) Charlton of Spruce View. She is also survived by her uncle Bruce Bouck of Manning, AB., and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Audrey was predeceased by her mother Alma Charlton, partner of 18 years Bill Bouck, sister Brenda Charlton, brother Tim Charlton, sister in law Catherine Charlton, step mother Joyce Charlton, uncle Lee Bouck and aunt Peg Bouck.
Funeral services were held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Heartland Funeral Services Chapel. Donations in Audrey’s memory may be made to the Terry Fox Association or to the Spirit River Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Heartland Funeral Services, Ltd., Innisfail entrusted with arrangements.
