MURPHY
Angeline Barbara Murphy entered into rest peacefully on January 20, 2017 at the age of 95. Born on January 21, 1921 at the home of her parents Louis and Frances Kohut, she was the fifth of seven children and the first to be born in Canada. She attended school at Neapolis completing grade eight. In 1941 she met Clifford Murphy, they married on November 18, 1942 and moved to Westcott where they raised their family and farmed until 2008 when they moved to Aspen Ridge Lodge. Always involved in the community she was a Lifetime Member of the Westcott W.I, and volunteered at the United Church Thrift Shop. All were welcome at her table and she touched the lives and hearts of many with her beautiful smile, gentle manner and positive attitude. Angeline enjoyed her garden, flowers, sewing, baking and loved family. She is survived by daughter-in-law Fran Murphy, daughters Bonnie (Wayne) Kellsey, Donna Murphy, sons Richard, Tom(Penny), Mike(Bev), Pat, sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, sisters Louise Stone of Edmonton and Anne Kohut of Didsbury as well numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford, son Frank, parents Louis and Frances, brothers Charles, Frank and John and sister Emilie McNeil. Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Zion Evangelical Missionary Church, Didsbury with Reverend Janice Walls officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Rosebud Health Foundation or charity of choice.
