Larry, I was emotionally shocked to find you in the obits today and I send my sincerest condolences to your family. We worked together at Bowden from October 1969 through September 1971 and you were always there in support of my work. I was the refinery engineer in that time and I learned so much from you. We had great times playing golf with Oscar on Wednesday afternoons at the Innisfail Golf Club. And every once in a while we ran into each other while we still worked for Shell. I\'m saddened to see your outstanding life cut so short. To me (now 73) you were never seen as older. What a good friend you were. Oh by the way, we both retired from Shell Canada the same year. Due to surgery for a leg injury I won\'t be able to be there for you in Innisfail on December 29 but you will be in my thoughts and prayers. This hasn\'t been a very good month as we also lost a fellow you might remember from the golf club, Derek Johnson. He was a high school classmate and a good friend and he remembered you when I told him I had worked at Bowden. Rest well, Larry, You have more than earned it. Chris
