Condolence: Dear Virginia and family.. I am deeply saddened to learn about Gilbert's passing , only last Thursday when visiting my sister in St. Albert. He was a very special man indeed and I have very fond memories of one of my favourite cousins. The last time we reconnected was a Ringette tournament in Olds several years ago sharing updates on families. I also just saw a photo of us as he was ring bearer and I was flower girl at my sister's (Leona) wedding back in 1950,!! Virginia ...be strong with your family and remember good times with Gilbert.

Condolence: Virginia,
Very sad to learn of Gil's passing. Gil's patience and understanding are what I remember most about my friend, "The Trainer at the Kennels." Gil could always find decent modern ways to correct something you did that needed improvement. There is no doubt that Gil Radke played a major role in the development of the PSD Section in the Modern Day RCMP. He will be missed by everyone with whom he served.

Condolence: We are extremely saddened to hear of Gil's passing. I fondly remember Gil as one of the "originals" who made PDS a world leader. Gil was always the quiet voice of reason that guided many personalities through tough decisions. I'm proud to have known and worked with Gil even though he cheered for the wrong hockey team.
Virginia and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Condolence: Dear Virginia and Family.
I (Larry), was stationed in the Lower Mainland of BC with the RCMP when Gil was a Police Dog Handler with the Force. He was one of the most dedicated and professional Policemen that I ever had the privelige of working with. It was very obvious that he was a "natural" when it came to his role and his love for his canine partner was first and foremost. I later interfaced with him several times when he was the senior trainer at the Training Kennals regarding urgent operational requirements. His response was always in keeping with the highest traditions of the RCMP. We will all cherish many fond memories of Gil as a true professional and a personal friend.

Condolence: Very, very sorry to hear about your loss. I had a lot of respect for Gil and enjoyed seeing him at annual validations and that respect grew when I worked with him later at the Kennels. A very knowledgeable man and his door was always open. Every time we traveled through Alberta we would stop in and say hello. We will truly miss him and wish your family all the best.
