To Marlene Grant Laura Lindsey Andy Stan Doreen and all the family our condolences I know a bright light in all your lives has dimmed but not out as his memories lives on They help sustain us Wayne has been my brother in law for over 50 years In my heart I dropped the in law thing many years ago I have many fond memories that include Wayne back to us running around in our VW beetles back in the day Of course we could never agree on whose was faster I remember him on a Sunday afternoon running down the sidewalk in Red Deer in a down pour pushing Grant's empty baby carriage and people looking at him like he had lost his mind Jim Marlene Grant I followed along in Wayne's VW and had a good laugh When I think of Wayne I think of a man of Principle Honesty and Integrity A man full of laughter who enjoyed making those around him laugh A man with a sharp inquisitive mind who always wanted to know how things ticked I think of a kind loving man who loved his family friends and life its self I think of pleasant times at their house when I came home to visit They always met my plane I always admired his courage and dignity with which he accepted his diagnosis He enjoyed life to the end I am sure But most of all I think of a dear life long friend who was always there to offer a kind word or helping hand I will miss him
