Allison Baumgardt (Kerr)
In Loving Memory of
Allison Baumgardt
1926 – 2017
Mrs. Allison Baumgardt passed away suddenly at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on September 5, 2017 at the age of 91 years surrounded by her family. Allison was born in Calgary in 1926, the only child of Jessie and Edward Kerr. Their family settled in the Wimborne area and she took her schooling at Hogadone. She met the love of her life at a ball game in Wimborne when a young man by the name of Ed Baumgardt who was playing fastball caught her eye. They married in April of 1949 and had four children.
They worked endless hours on the farm to make a good life for their family. Ed and Allison farmed in the West Lynn District east of Innisfail until they retired and moved to Innisfail in 1989. Ed and Allison had an active social life. Besides fastball, they loved curling, cards, dancing, socializing and entertaining family and friends at the family farm. They loved to travel and went to such places as Hawaii, Mexico, Eastern Canada, Europe, U.S.A. and N.W.T. and many fishing trips together. Allison was also a Milnerton Branch member of the Alberta Women’s Institute.
Allison is lovingly remembered by her family: Elaine (Keith) Jacobs of Red Deer, Earl (Cynthia) Baumgardt of Red Deer, Carol (Wayne) Storoz of Lethbridge and Kent (Teri) Baumgardt of Innisfail, grandchildren: Kim (Pam), Jason, Joel, Bretan (Jacqueline), Coen, Jarah, Taryn, Kirsten and Kyle.
She also leaves behind two great grandsons: Jesse (Shanese), Zack and four great granddaughters: Jaydon, Jaci, Scarlett and Gretchen.
