WILLIAM GRANT BRUCE

William Grant Bruce of Olds, beloved husband of Hilda for 68 years passed away at his home in Sunrise Village, Olds on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the age of 90 years. Grant was born on November 12, 1926 in Lily Plain, Saskatchewan to William and Hester Bruce. Grant is survived by his wife Hilda; daughters Sharon, Donna, Barbara (John), Brenda (Don), Gladys (Ed); sons Don (Anita), Barry (Beth); 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; brothers Robin, Gordon and Norman (Eleanor). He was predeceased by his parents William and Hester Bruce; sisters Sylvia and Peggy; brothers John, Charles and Roger; brothers-in-law, Henry and Frank; sisters-in-law Doris, Margaret, Rose and Adeline and son-in-law John Bedford. The family would like to thank Dr. Dykin, the Sunrise Village staff and the Olds Hospital & Care Centre for their compassionate care. In keeping with Grant’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.
