It is with heavy hearts we are sad to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend Dorothea Weiss at the Long Term Care in Olds on May 29, 2017at the age of 96 years. She was the second of nine children born to Conrad and Maria Mill. Dorothea was born December 10, 1920 in Calgary, where she spent her first 6 years of life, until the spring of 1926 where the family moved to the Sundre area. She attended school in McDougal Flats until the age of 15 years; she then had to quit to help her mother with her baby twin brothers. In 1938 Dorothea found employment on a farm east of Olds, where she met Theofeil (Joe) Weiss. They were married on November 27, 1939 and had 5 children. She will be deeply missed and remembered with love by her children Mary(Steve), Allen(Eileen), Norman(Lila),David(Donna), Debra(Dennis) and her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren and numerous family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, grandsons; five brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held on Monday June 5, 2017 at the Faith Lutheran Church, Sundre with Pastor Gary Aicken officiating.
