Obituary for Mary Isabel McCullough
Mary Isabel McCullough (March 2, 1949 - March 11, 2017)
Mary was born in Vermilion, Alberta to Ewen and Mary Lawrence of Clandonald, Alberta. Mary attended school in Clandonald through to high school graduation when she moved to Edmonton to start her career in banking.
In 1970, Mary married the love of her life Garry and they moved to Olds to raise their children: Myron, Chris and Shannon. Mary was diagnosed with cancer and fought a strong battle for a year before succumbing to the disease.
Mary was predeceased by her parents Mary and Ewen Lawrence and son Andrew. The fifth of nine children she is survived by siblings: Flora(Al), Tony(Catherine), Margaret(Fred), Bill(Lil), Jean, Ewen(Jane), Angus(Lydia), Anne(Rick). She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Garry, and three children: Myron (Janet, Lauren, Liam, and Lachlan), Shannon (Clayton, Michael, and Eric), and Chris (Kristie, Megan, Morgan, and Mya), numerous extended family and friends.
In accordance with Mary’s wishes there will be no funeral; the immediate family will celebrate Mary’s life later in the spring. Donations, in Mary’s name, can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
