ELEANOR J. REID (nee MASON)
August 17, 1930 – January 18, 2017
Eleanor Reid of Olds, Alberta, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the age of 86. Eleanor was born and raised in Granum, Alberta. After working a time with Alberta Treasury Branch she transferred to Olds. She married Bill Reid in October 1955. Together they farmed and raised their family on the homestead northwest of Olds. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, bird watching, was an active member of the community and the Olds United Church. She is lovingly remember by her children, Dave (Debbie) Reid, Margaret (Bob) McNevin, Tom (Cheryl) Reid, Darren Reid; grandchildren Richard McNevin, Jennifer and Dylan Fleming, Lindsey Reid and Matt Springer, and her great grandson Ryder Fleming; four sisters Alice, Winnie, Betty and Marjorie and two brothers Robert, Donald as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Olds United Church with Reverend Tammy Allan officiating.
