Obituary for Marjorie Helen Raugust (Avery)

Marjorie Helen Raugust (Avery)
MARJORIE HELEN RAUGUST
1930 – 2017
Mrs. Marjorie Helen Raugust (nee Avery), was born on November 1, 1930, to Alexander Milne Avery and Mabel Annie Marie Avery (nee Lewis), in Dallas,Oregon. She passed away peacefully on January 12, 2017 at the age of 86 years.
Marjorie was a caring, loving and generous wife, mother, gramma, sister, and aunt. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always put others before herself. Friends and family were always warmly welcomed into her home and treated to homemade baking and cooking, a warm bed to stay over, and a laugh. Marjorie was a hard worker who tirelessly and lovingly raised 6 children. She adored children, especially babies, and was never happier than when she was snuggling up to a little one. She was an accomplished seamstress, making much of our clothing, in addition to wedding dresses, doll clothes, and mending. She was talented in many handicrafts, including quilting, cake decorating, paper toll, and embroidery. She loved the outdoors and going for walks, and she and Dad spent many lovely times camping and fishing together.
Marjorie was predeceased by the love of her life, Ted Raugust, in 2009, her sister Dorothy Gratrix, her brother James Avery, and son-in-law John Tuchscherer.
She is survived by her sister Ruby MacDonald, her children, Connie (Arnold) Smith, Helen (Franc) Cipot, Wanda (Don) Howell, Barry (Shelley) Raugust, Susan (Kim) Lawrence, and Lorna (Roch) Dagenais as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren and numerous adoring nieces and nephews.
