Obituary for Leona Marion Ehrman

EHRMAN
It is with the most sincere sadness that we announce the passing of Leona Marion Ehrman at the young age of 55. Leaving this world on December 28, 2016 at the Olds Hospital, Leona ended her three-and-a-half-year long battle with cancer. Born to Howard and May Pugh on January 2, 1961 in Drumheller, AB, Leona grew up in the communities of East Coulee and Drumheller, later moving to Torrington, AB after marrying husband Jamie in 1988. In 2006, the family moved into Olds, AB where they still reside. A true people person, Leona showed her smile to everyone she interacted with always remaining to be a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunty, and friend. Leona’s days were often spent out and about in the community, visiting with friends and family, playing cards, sitting with her puppies and cat, and of course watching the Price Is Right and Days Of Our Lives. Leona will be greatly missed by so many. She would want everyone to remember that “We’re here for a good time, not a long time.” Leona was predeceased by her father and mother, Howard (1990) and May (2008) Pugh; brothers Larry (2003) and Bob (2010); and sister Marilyn (2001). Leona leaves behind her husband Jamie; her two sons, Peter and Johnny; her sister Alice (Len) Kirkeby of Edson; sister-in-law: Pearl Pugh of East Coulee, Corinne Pugh of Medicine Hat, Nancy (Pat) Ghostkeeper of Olds; an abundance of nephews and nieces; and many other family members and friends that she loved so much. Leona’s memorial service will take place on May 13, 2017 in Olds, AB, followed by a family burial at the Drumheller Cemetery on Mother’s Day, May 14, 2017. Details of time and place of memorial service will be provided at a later date. In lieu of floral tributes, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
