Zelle Estelle Feeg (nee Brower), age 94, went to be with her Lord on January 13, 2020 at Aspen Ridge Lodge in Didsbury, Alberta. Zelle was born to Erwin and Belle Brower near Zella district west of Didsbury on February 17, 1925, the ninth of ten children, where she grew up on the family farm. She loved the outdoors, plants and animals, especially wild flowers, birds and all forms of wildlife. She lived in her own home until December 2, 2019. Through early spring to late fall she could be found outside enjoying her yard and garden. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and enjoyed music. She sang in church choirs and as a soloist and she loved to play favorite hymns on the piano.
Zelle was predecesed by her mother and father, husband Harold, and grandson Ryan Bork of Red Deer. She is survived, and will be dearly missed, by her four children Marilyn Feeg of Calgary, Curtis Feeg (Corinne) of Calgary, Cynthia Bork of Red Deer, and Jeff Feeg (Cindy) of Didsbury. She enjoyed the love of her grandchildren, Matthew Feeg (Samantha), Nathan Feeg (Yasin) and Jordan Feeg all of Calgary, David Bork (Emily) of Red Deer, and A.J. Feeg and Brandon Feeg (Allyson) of Didsbury. Zelle is also survived by sisters Blossom Abraham of Innisfail and Betty Spencer of Kelowna and sister-in-law Verna Jean Fairbrass of Calgary. Numerous nieces and nephews will also miss her, in particular Janet and Bud Parry of Didsbury.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the staff of Aspen Ridge Lodge for their care and compassion. Her remains will be interred with those of her husband, Harold, at the Didsbury cemetery in a private service. Those who wish may make a donation to Zion Evangelical Missonary Church in her memory.
