Obituary for Wilma Stoltzfus

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wilma Marie Stoltzfus on February 15th, 2020 at the age of 56. Wilma was born in Ephratha, Pennsylvania on February 9th, 1964. She grew up in Pennsylvania and Three Hills, Alberta where she graduated from High School. Wilma got her Bachelor in Biblical studies in Three Hills. In 1988 she completed a three year degree at the Foothills School of Nursing in Calgary. Her nursing career started at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, then Lancaster, Pennsylvania, San Antonio, Texas, Casper, Wyoming, and Billings, Montana. In June 2002, Wilma returned to Sundre, Alberta and helped her parents on the Dairy farm while continuing to work as a nurse in Calgary and Sundre.

Wilma was an avid gardener and enjoyed watercolor artwork, photography and making braided wool rugs. She loved her family in so many ways and was much loved in return. She will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Her loved ones left behind are her parents, Melvin and Nancy Stoltzfus; brother Melvin Lamar Stoltzfus; brother Wendell Stoltzfus, his wife Leanne and daughters Madi (Adian Cox) and Resa (Greg Vowk); sister Rena Wengerd, her husband Kevin, son Jake, daughter Shana and great nephew Brayson; brother Loren Stoltzfus, his wife Seana, daughter Fayth and son Levi; sister Joy Schochenmaier, her husband Allan, and daughter Ava; sister Melody Neufeld, her husband Nathan and sons Seth, Lief, and Cale; and numerous Uncles and Aunts and Cousins.

Donations in Wilma’s memory can be made to the Sundre Hospital Futures Fund. The funeral for Wilma will be held on Saturday, March 7th at the First Baptist Church in Olds at 2:00 pm.
