Jenny Hoogstraten passed away suddenly on February 10, 2023 at the age of 74 years. Jenny was born in the Netherlands to Helen and Aart Hoogstraten, and eventually the family moved to Canada and settled in Calgary, Alberta. Jenny grew up in the community of Montgomery and attended Bowness Composite High School. It was at youth group in the Maranatha Church where Jenny met her future husband, Adriaan Van Runt, they were married in 1968 and had three children together. Jenny was a kind and caring person who spent her time with those closest to her, or just being alone, but lived for her favorite television program, Days of Our Lives. Jenny will be lovingly remembered by her son, Willem and his son Alex, her son Daniel and his children Daniel and Kayla and her daughter, Amanda.
