It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Valerie Ann Pearson (Bennett) on May 8, 2022 at the age of 70. Valerie was born on February 22, 1952 in Taber Alberta. She was the fourth of 5 daughters born to John and Joan Bennett. In 1955 her father sold the family farm and moved his family to Edmonton. Valerie grew up in Edmonton, AB. She attended Strathcona High School. She grew up amongst a hard-working family which gifted her with incredible life wisdom, tenacity and strength. Over the years Valerie lived in California, Ottawa, Ontario, and Airdrie, Alberta before residing in Olds, AB. She moved to Olds after meeting the love of her life Brian in 1998. Valerie and Brian were married on May 10, 2001. They loved the Alaskan cruise and trip to Ireland they took together. Valerie enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, planting flowers, reading and playing poker at the legion. Valerie is survived by her daughter Tara Cox (Stan), her son Shawn Cox of Olds, granddaughters Kaitlin of Innisfail, Breanna, Kirsten, Marisa of Olds, Mariah of Calgary Justice of Sylvan Lake and Bianca of Blackfalds. Great-granddaughters Laylah and Renesmae. Sisters Carol Chesney of Bonnyville, Alberta, Susanne Bennett of Calgary and Barb Ralph (Rod) of Nepean, Ontario. A special someone Tamara of Sylvan Lake. As well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and good friends. She was predeceased by her parents Joan and John Bennett, sister Laura Bennett, niece Jodi Chesney, beloved husband Brian Pearson, and brother-in-law Wayne Chesney, she was loved dearly and will be missed by many.
