Obituary for Stanley Forbes Chisholm

Stanley Forbes Chisholm passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the age of 92 years. He was born in Cereal, AB on September 10, 1928 to Donald and Isabella Chisholm. They farmed in the Sedalia/Naca, AB area until the depression came and crops were very poor. The family then moved to a farm south of Red Deer. Later they moved to Red Deer where the family built some houses. Stan was proud to service in the Canadian Army for 6 years in the 1950’s, at which time he served a few years in the Occupational Force in Germany. By trade, Stan was a truck driver which included long hauling, cattle liners and gravel trucks. He loved the outdoors, country drives, camping, fishing and hockey (he was a Flames fan). Stan is survived by his loving wife, Bunita “Bonnie” of 57 years; son Barry (Candace); niece Joan (Gary) MacPhee; nephews John (Gail) MacPhee and Butch (Joanne) Henry and their families. Stan was predeceased by his parents; sisters Viola MacPhee and Norma Henry; brother Wallace and niece Betty Ann MacPhee. He will forever be missed for his love and humor.
