Obituary for Sharon Lynn McFetridge

1950 – 2023
Sharon Lynn McFetridge, daughter of Norman and Anne Pearson, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 at the Innisfail Health Centre, Innisfail, Alberta, just shy of her seventy-third birthday. Sharon grew up in a military family with her five siblings in British Columbia and Ontario before settling in Calgary, Alberta in 1965. She started her own family and was a role model to her three daughters, April-Lynn, Marnie and Leeann, raising them in Calgary and Spruce Grove. Sharon was hardworking and had a successful career as a land administrator in the pipeline industry. In her retirement, she continued to be active with golfing, mountain biking, gardening, and camping. She loved cooking and looking after her family and friends as well as attending live music and dances. Sharon will be lovingly remembered and missed by her three daughters, April-Lynn (Howard), Marnie (Brad) and Leeann (Scott), her older brother, Jim, her twin brother, Warren, her sister-in-law, Sandy, and her sister, Gail. Sharon was a fun and involved Grandma and was so proud of her grandchildren, Zach, Sydney, Kyle, Brynn, Anna, Gage and Sam. She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Brian and Darcy. The family would like to say thank you to the compassionate staff at the Innisfail Health Centre for their care and to all of Sharon’s friends and extended family who kept her company over these past few months. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 104, 5108 - 49 Avenue, Innisfail, Alberta.
