Mr. Robert ‘Bob’ Allen Welwood passed away at the Rosefield Care Centre, Innisfail, Alberta on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the age of 93 years. Bob was born in Carmen, Manitoba where he lived and was raised and educated, until the age of 19 years old at which time he joined the R.C.A.F for the next twenty-seven years. He then made his way out to Alberta, where he spent his next years working on the Penhold base as a Civilian in Maintenance. Bob married Rachel (Fegirchuk) in 1981 and they resided in Innisfail, Alberta for his remaining years. Bob had a heartwarming, good natured personality that always made people laugh along with him. He was an avid reader as well as a nature lover and enjoyed the outdoors; especially in Kananaskis country, including cycling, hiking, cross country skiing, camping, and fishing. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Rachel, of forty-one years, his two sons, his one daughter, his three stepsons, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would also like to give a sincere thank you to the Rosefield Care Centre for their loving care and kindness to Bob during his time there. A Drop-In Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No.104, 1, 5108 - 49 Avenue, Innisfail, Alberta on Monday, October 24, 2022. Guests are welcome to stop by from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to share memories of Bob. If desired, Memorial Donations in Bob’s honor may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
