Mr. Reginald ‘Reg’ Franklin Zelmer formerly of Dickson, Alberta passed away at the Villa Marie Covenant Care on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the age of 66 years. Reg was born in Chevlin, Manitoba on July 26, 1956 to Benjamin Zelmer and Elsie Mohr. He spent his childhood on the old family farm with his siblings. In 1974, Reg moved to Alberta for work, and this is where he put his roots down. He absolutely loved the west country and getting muddy on his quad. So many people loved to listen to him play guitar. Reg had a big heart and was extremely generous. We just know he will be in the band up in heaven. Till we see you again. He will be lovingly remembered by the mother of his children, Maureen Gow Zelmer, his son, Jared Zelmer of Caroline, Alberta, his son, Jason Zelmer of Calgary, Alberta, his daughter, Raissa Zelmer of Kamloops, British Columbia and his four grandchildren, Sienna, Saylor, Daltyn and Ellie. Reg will also be deeply missed by his brother, Ray Zelmer of Carvel, Alberta and his three sisters, Marlene Raymond of Calgary, Alberta, Leona Wagner of Edmonton, Alberta and Barbara Kittlitz of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. He is predeceased by his brother, Loxkley ‘Lucky’ Zelmer and his parents, Benjamin Zelmer and Elsie Mohr Zelmer.
