Obituary for Ray Charlton

Ray passed away peacefully July 25, 2014 at the Innisfail Hospital at the age of 86 years. Ray is survived by five children; Karen Charlton of Raymond AB., Marilyn (Charles) Boyer of Devon AB., Cheryl (Allen) Norman of Vegreville AB., Sandra Charlton of Innisfail and Kevin (Barb) Charlton of Spruce View; very dear friends Joyce & Geraldine Swanson of Crossfield; brother in law Bruce Bouck; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one older sister Jean Bracken of Cremona as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ray was predeceased by his parents Edgar & Evalyne Charlton; two loving wives Alma of 36 years & Joyce of 2 years; two daughters Audrey and Brenda Charlton; son Tim Charlton; daughter in law Catherine Charlton; two brothers Robert & Howard Charlton; two sisters Evalyne Eckel and Phylis Campbell.
Ray was born to Edgar and Evalyne Charlton on June 14, 1928 in Didsbury. Ray married Alma Bouck in February of 1956. They lived and farmed on the Bouck homestead in Cremona until 1967. They then made their home in Spruce View where he continued to farm and raise his family. Ray worked in Tuktoyaktuk for 10 years.
There will be a viewing at Heartland Funeral Home, Innisfail on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 7:00 to 8:00pm for anyone wishing to pay their respects. A graveside service will be held at the Carstairs Cemetery on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Carstairs Cemetery at 11:00am with a lunch to follow at the Carstairs Legion.
