Obituary for Peggy Katherine Lydia Farrar
Peggy Katherine Lydia Farrar passed away Monday, September 19, 2022 at the age of 100.
Peggy was born March 7, 1922 at Shuler, Alberta. She grew up east of Olds. On January 27, 1940 she married Albert John Farrar. They farmed in the Mayton District until their retirement in 1964. They moved into Olds where Peggy lived until 2016, when she moved to Park Avenue @ Creekside Senior's Home in Rocky Mountain House.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband Albert (September 9, 1985); son-in-law Leonard Felker (May 15, 1993); grandson Vernon Lorne Felker (March 4, 1998); and grandson-in-law Ken Pederson (October 28, 2004). She was also predeceased by 7 brothers and 7 sisters.
Peggy is survived by her daughter Shirley Felker; her grandchildren Sharon Pederson; Karen (Charles) Cox; Allan (Tara) Felker; 18 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, 1 brother, and 1 sister.
There will be a memorial service for Peggy October 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Heartland Funeral Services (Olds). The service will be followed by a luncheon at Evergreen Hall. Everyone is welcome.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Olds Hospice Society.
