Norman (Norm) Schalin of Olds, Alberta passed away at his home on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at the age of 72. Norm was born in Olds, Alberta March 15th, 1950 to Edward and Linda (Dusdal) Schalin. He attended Reed Ranch School and the Olds Jr Sr High School where he held many records in track and field for years and was an avid baseball player. He had a love of 60’s and 70’s music and a love of sports whether playing or watching his favorite teams. He had a long career in construction and wood working, which was enjoyed by many people whether it was something Norm refinished or built his talent was immense.
He is predeceased by his parents and two baby brothers. Stormin Norm’s passion for life will be greatly missed by his loving children Lane Schalin and Lorelei Talbot (Darryl) and many family and friends. Special thank you to his friend David Harris.

Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 a service for family and close friends will be held at 2:00 pm at the East Olds Baptist Church gravesite. A celebration of life will be held at the Olds Legion at 3:00 pm there will be a small lunch provided.

In lieu of flowers we was ask that donations be made to Jumpstart Charity which 100% of your donation goes directly to helping kids access sport and play.
