We regretfully announce the passing of Kenneth Wayne Anderson at the age of 73 of Didsbury, Alberta, on April 18th. Ken was surrounded by family and passed away peacefully. Born in Didsbury, Alberta to William & Margaret Anderson, Ken was an adventurous and fun-loving boy. He grew up and remained in the town of Didsbury, he loved so much. Ken worked as a grader operator and division supervisor for Mountain View County for 25+ years. He had 3 children, Bill, Joe and Rob. In addition to his three sons, Ken opened his home and fostered several children over the years. Ken was a dedicated father and determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant everything to him and was something he often mentioned. Ken was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation of his family. He was proud of his eight grandchildren and always supported and encouraged them. Ken was also a passionate member of the community. He volunteered his time with the Didsbury AG society and could often be found organizing town events like the rodeo and parade. In addition, he was a life time member of the Elks Didsbury Lodge No. 514. Ken was instrumental to the development and building of the Didsbury Elks Campground at Cipperly’s. He also volunteered and ran the Elks bingo in Didsbury for many years. Ken was predeceased by his father William, his mother Margaret and his brother David. He is survived by his brothers, Ed (Penny) and Alan, his children, Bill (Kathryn), Joe (Amanda) and Rob (Kim), as well as his grandchildren, Hayley, Tayla, Meagan, Trent, Riley, Dylan, Kassandra and Eva. No services will be held at this time, but may occur at a later date.
