Obituary for Harold "Roy" Middleton

MIDDLETON, Harold “Roy”
1928 – 2022
Mr. Harold Roy Middleton, known as Roy, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, at the age of 94 years.
He grew up on a farm near Saskatoon. After school, Roy was in the RACF, then worked on large diesel equipment maintenance in Redwater, Alberta and Eldorado, Saskatchewan. After getting a diploma in Recreation Technology in Saskatoon, he returned to Eldorado, then Grand Centre and Lac la Biche, Alberta. In Lac la Biche, he also worked in Adult Literacy and at AVC in native culture and arts. After retirement, he and Edith hosted at many Alberta Provincial Parks before moving to Bowden, Alberta. His hobbies were many kinds of creative crafts, teaching swimming, music, photography, astronomy, and gardening.
Roy is survived by his youngest sisters, Grace Ferguson of Kelowna and Trudy Johnson of Prince George, children, John (Joan), George, and Ann (Daniel); grandchildren, Karen, Trever, Lloyd, Gary, Stacy and numerous great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Edith in 2017.
As per Roy’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service.
