It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Geraldine Brown of Didsbury, AB on January 27, 2021 at the age of 57. Geraldine was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 1970 her family moved to Fort McMurray where she enjoyed her childhood years. Geraldine loved the outdoors that the Fort McMurray area had to offer at the time. Geraldine met her husband, Gary, and together they enjoyed hunting, camping, boating, and the beauty of the Wood Buffalo Area. When Geraldine was not exploring the outdoors she worked for Suncor where she held several positions. Geraldine and Gary started a family with the arrival of their daughter and two sons. Her family was her proudest accomplishment. In 2001 the family moved to Didsbury, AB. Geraldine was an active member in the community, from 4-H to hockey, she loved participating in her children's passions. Geraldine also enjoyed her work and the people at Aspen Ridge lodge.
She was predeceased by her parents Gerald and Verna Brown. Geraldine will be lovingly remembered by her husband Gary Griffiths; daughter Stephanie Griffiths; sons Jeff Griffiths and Ian Griffiths; siblings Darlene Ward (Greg), Wendy Ostiguy (Mike), and David Brown; as well as numerous extended family and friends. In keeping with COVID-19 restrictions, a private family celebration will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society.
