Obituary for Floyd Osterhout

Floyd Osterhout Aug 6,1925-April 23-2022
Floyd passed away peacefully April 23 at the age of 96 after a short hospital stay. He was born in Prince George BC the 4th of 11 children to Harry and Kate Osterhout. He grew up in Viscount Saskatchewan, after his discharge from the army he travelled and worked in many different locations until he met the love of his life Mae, they were married Jan 21,1955. They started their married life living in Calgary where their 2 sons where born. Having always wanted to farm and as he said be his own boss, they moved their young family to Eagle Hill, where 2 girls were added to the family. Floyd loved his family, the farming lifestyle, and lifelong friends he made. He is survived by his wife Mae; 4 children Greg, Brent Diane (George) and Heather; 5 grandchildren Pam (Jason), Brad (Jen), Che, Brandon, and Chad; 4 greatgrandchildren Wyatt, Hunter, Reece, and Peyton; sister Shirley; sister’s- in- law Darlene, Mollie (Gordon), Marlene and Heather as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parent’s; brothers Forbes, Keith, Charlie, Glen, Dwayne, Lyle and Earl; sisters Jean and Phyllis as well as his grandson Taarak. A service will be held at the Eagle Hill Hall on April 29, 2022 @1.00 pm with Harold Hunter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the CNIB Foundation or charity of choice. Heartland Funeral Services Ltd., Olds entrusted with arrangements.
