Obituary for Eva Brule

It is with mixed emotions we said goodbye to our mom, Eva Christina Brule (nee Frank) who passed away December 9, 2020. Eva slipped away peacefully at the Olds Hospice Society at the age of 94 years. She was born in Regina Saskatchewan on November 6, 1926. Eva met Marcel Norman Brule and was married on April 21, 1945. Eva had a passion for reading and over the years supplied many library’s with books for their shelves. As well, she regularly donated books for fundraising for cancer. Anyone who read got books from Eva, always with her initials and review in the front! In her early years, she was very passionate about sewing, making many items of clothing and quilts for her kids and grandchildren with love. Eva loved children and was a very active foster mom, fostering many challenged children over the years; 22 to be exact. In her later years, Eva mastered the computer and could be found many days ordering whatever she needed off the internet, and playing hours of games, learning about new programs, surfing Facebook, and watching Netflix. Eva is survived by her children Marcel Arthur (Hilda), Patricia Yvonne, Nancy Karen (Larry), Darlene Rose, Lucille Hilda (Vince); 12 grandchildren Robert Raymond, Laura Noel; Sandra Marie; Aaron Joel, Jory Lee, Christopher Michael; Jason Kane, Jade Dylan; Travis Wesley, Stacey Rose; Troy Jacob, Kiri Dawn; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; sister Rosina Heidrick (Kelowna); as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Eva is predeceased by her husband Marcel Norman Brule (2006), her son Robert Gregory (deceased 1963), her daughter Wendy Laura (deceased 1985), her Grandson Julian Breck (deceased 2010), and siblings, Agnes Kerestesh (2001), Englena Sieben (2002), Maria Frank (2011), Martha Opperman (2011), Francis Frank (2017), and Catherine Krassman (2017). In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to Olds & Distrcit Hospice Society. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, a private service will be held in the Spring/Summer of 2021. Heartland Funeral Services Ltd., Olds entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.heartlandfuneralservices.com or lucille.howard@hotmail.com.

I Made It Home

I just wanted to let yo know that I
made it home.

Everything is so pretty here so white,
so fresh, so new. I wish that you could
close your eyes so you see it too.

Please try not to be sad for me. Try
to understand. God is taking care of
me ... I'm in the shelter of His hand.

Here there is no sadness, and no
sorrow, and no pain. Here there is
no crying, and I'll never hurt
again.

Here it is so peaceful, when
all the angels sing. I really
have to go for now ... I've just
got to try my wings.

PS I'll be the first face you see when you get here!
