Obituary for Diane Henriette Enzie (Tippe)

1941 -2023
Diane Enzie (Tippe) passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Health Centre in Trochu, Alberta on Friday August 25, 2023, at the age of 82 years. Diane was born on February 6, 1941, in Eston, Saskatchewan, her family eventually moved to Torrington, Alberta where she met the love of her life, Rueben Enzie. They married in June of 1959 and lived on the family farm east of Torrington. Together they had three girls, Kathy, born July 1961, Denise, born November 1963 and Shanon, born November 1975. Unfortunately, in November of 1983, they lost Denise but mom and dad’s love for each other and their faith in God saw them through this. In 1982, they sold the farm and moved to Three Hills. Diane loved her grandchildren very much and always looked forward to their summer visits. She and dad were always active in their lives by attending many events and important times in their lives. Diane also loved to knit and crochet. There were many new bundles of joy that received a handmade blanket from Mrs. Enzie. Her love of history saw her, and Rueben involved in the museum and various historical societies. They were active members of the community and church family in both Torrington and Three Hills. Diane will be dearly missed by her husband Rueben, daughter Kathy and husband Don Cottrell, daughter Shanon and husband Shane Hoff, as well as her grandchildren, Brian and Steven Cottrell and Lane and Taylor Hoff. She will also be missed by her brother, Dennis (Jeanette) Tippe, Randy (Paulette) Tippe, Sister-in-laws; Sheila Tippe, Connie Tippe, Judy (Clarence) Rebryna and brother-in-law Ken Weisenburger as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Diane was predeceased by her parents Henry Tippe and Toni Koch, daughter Denise, brothers Stan Tippe and Greg Tippe, and sisters-in-laws Darlene Weisenburger and Agnes Simpson. A Funeral Service will be held at the Torrington Community Hall on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with interment at the Torrington East Cemetery.
