DENNIS EDWARD HERBERT
1944 - 2020
Dennis Edward Herbert passed away suddenly in his home in Sundre, on August 22, 2020 at the age of 75 years. He was born on October 28th 1944 in beautiful Olds, Alberta. Dennis devoted much of his life to driving semi-trucks and graters logging many hours and covering many kilometers in his life. In his free time, he really enjoyed working on his antique vehicles, participating & going to countless car shows, and reading. He loved being around his family and friends as Dennis always had a witty joke in his back pocket and a smile on his face. His raw sense of humour will be missed by many along with his courageous but rather gutsy stories that he would share from his teenage years. His memory will be cherished by his children Tammy (Kevin) Thokle of Medicine Hat; Jocelyn (Nicole Hatton) Herbert of Edmonton; Bradley Herbert of Edmonton; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Dennis will be missed by his siblings Jim (Linda) Herbert; Ken (Joyce) Herbert; Donna Herbert (Ted). He was predeceased by his parents Darol and Nancy Herbert. Due to Covid-19 the funeral will be only open to family and close friends. It will take place at Westerdale Cemetery in Mountainview, Alberta on September 19, 2020.
