Darryl Swan of Didsbury, Alberta passed away unexpectedly in Edmonton, Alberta on October 4, 2022 at the age of 55. He is survived by his beloved wife Kathy, mother Gloria and father Myles. Shortly before his passing he happily welcomed the birth of his grand-daughter, Matilda. He was the loving father of Josh (Emily) of Didsbury, Colin (Rachel) of Airdrie, Madison (Brandon) of Calgary, and Gloria of Nova Scotia. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Sonya, Heather and Lisa as well as his grandchildren Matilda, Marcus, Karson and Cayden, his many nieces and nephews and everyone who knew him. Darryl was a valued and well respected employee of Constant Fire Protection since 2009. He also devoted many hours to volunteering and helping anyone who needed a hand. He was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of what was important - the simplicity of living a life with those you love. Of all the people he touched, both willing and unwilling, his most proud achievement in life was marrying his wife Kathy who supported him in everything he did. Darryl's memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 1:00pm at the Didsbury Memorial Complex in Didsbury Alberta, reception to follow at the Arena.
