Obituary for Dale Burley Belt

Dale Burley Belt of Sundre, Alberta passed away on November 11, 2022 in the Red Deer Hospital at the age of 70 from health complications after a long and stoic battle with Parkinson Disease.

Dale was born to Don and Hazel Belt on June 1, 1952 in Radway, Alberta, the oldest of six children. At a very young age he moved to the James River area and underwent his schooling in Sundre, Alberta.

Dale married Betty Vollmin on June 2, 1973. After a short residency in Red Deer, Alberta, Dale and Betty returned to Sundre to establish their life together and raise their three children.

Dale was a valued member of the Sundre community and passionate team roper. He spent many hours in and around the local arenas with his many friends. He was also passionate about his faith, and church family at McDougal Chapel Missionary Church.

He will be missed by his wife Betty, children Billie Jo (Collin), Jennifer (Dan) Roberts, and Wade (Kailynne) Belt. He is survived by his grandchildren Ryan, Riley, Jordyn, Dane, Kole, Seth, Sullivan and Finley, and a very large extended loving family.

Dale was predeceased by his parents Don and Hazel, and his brother Everett (Chip).

A memorial service will be held Friday November 18th, 2022 at McDougal Chapel Sundre, AB (Highway 584 and RR60) at 1:30pm.
