CLARENCE JULIAN AARSBY
July 13, 1928 - January 20, 2021
Clarence was born west of Carstairs, second child to Clifford and Beatrice Aarsby. His early schooling was at Banner School west of Carstairs, and he finished High School in Carstairs. While going to school he worked in the afternoons and evenings at the body shop. After finishing school, he farmed with his Dad and brother, Lester. In 1951, he married Norma Stevenson and bought his first quarter section with his wife and raised their three children there. He farmed for many years with his Dad and brother on the family homestead. After Clifford retired, Clarence and Lester continued the farming tradition with their families. The Aarsby boys continued to farm west of Carstairs with their growing families for decades.
Clarence had several losses in his life, the biggest being the lost of his sons, Rick in 1989 and Daryl in 2011. Clarence loved his family, friends and working on his antique tractors.
