Obituary for Charles Arthur "Chuck" Braun

Mr. Charles ‘Chuck’ Arthur Braun passed away at home on April 18, 2021 at the age of 67 years. Chuck was born in Camrose, Alberta on July 22, 1953. At an early age his family moved to Calgary, where he grew up and took his schooling. In his younger years, Chuck enjoyed raising pigeons and skipping school just like his friends did. Chuck did many things until he found his passion for Welding in the late 70's and that was his life's work. Chuck worked for many companies; Rossteel of Calgary, Clark and Pattison of Nisku, TG Fencing of Caroline, Graham Industries of Caroline/Rocky and Red Deer Piling Inc. which took him to Peru, for a working vacation. In 2005, Chuck started to work for Newcart Contracting Ltd., where they treated us as part of the family. Chuck was the best welder around, if you ever worked with him, you know that he was very fussy about his work. He always said “do it right the first time and the only time.” In June 1997, Chuck and Marian bought their house in Markerville, and raised their children, Bailey and Zach. Even though Chuck's work took him away from home a great deal, he preferred to be home, in the company of friends and family, having bonfires, roasting hotdogs, and drinking the odd Budweiser ha ha. He was always building something or tinkering around. Little kids loved Chuck and Chuck loved little kids, he enjoyed getting them sugared up and sending them home to their parents. Chuck himself was a big kid at heart and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him and loved him. Chuck will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marian, his daughter Bailey of Red Deer, his son Zach of Markerville, his daughter, Jocelyn and her children, Charlotte and Mazie of Manitoba, his son Geoff and his son Bently of Grande Praire, Alberta. He will also be fondly remembered by his sister's; Dolly, Linda and Geraldine and his brothers, Rob and Colli, Jerry, Mike, Darcy and ‘Harold’. Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Alvin and Shirley, his brother's, Dave, Jim, Ray and his sister Sylvia. Though Chuck may be gone from here, he will always stay in our Hearts and Thoughts Forever. A Celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at a later date.
