We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bonnie Lou Starke (April 26, 1955 to February 29, 2020). Bonnie was born to Wallace Stephen Starke and Gweneth Lee Starke (Rushfeldt) on April 26 1955. She was raised with 3 brothers David Starke (El Weir) Larry Starke (Sandra) and Ken Starke (Marj) and sister Judy Anderson (Steve). She spent her first five years on a farm North of Okotoks, at which time the family moved to a farm just West of Cayley, Alberta. She received her entire education at the Cayley School and Senator Riley High School (High River). Bonnie had a deep love for animals and rode on horseback for many hours as she was growing up. That love for animals continued throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed doing outdoor chores far more than being indoors. She was a member of a 4H beef club for some time and always excelled at it. Bonnie moved to Calgary in 1974 where she had her first daughter Candice Caldwell. She worked with Social Services for a few years until she married Keith Caldwell and moved to Altario. She then continued to grow her family over the next 6 years adding Jennifer (Matt Harty), Angela Caldwell, Bert Caldwell (Amanda) and Jessica (Craig Chapman). In 1990, Bonnie and her 5 children moved to High River. In 1991 Bonnie purchased her home in Cayley Alberta. She raised all 5 children in this home. She took pride in her yard, flower gardens and home. She finished her working career with homecare based out of Nanton and High River. She loved helping other and was always known for her big heart. She loved baking and cooking for her family and friends. Coffee was always on, and Bonnie was always ready for a visit. In her lifetime she was blessed with eight granddaughters and one grandson. Cheyanne, Georgia, Katy (Jennifer Harty), Braydee, Lucas, Kennedy (Bert Caldwell) Trinity, Ava, and Mackenzie (Jessica Chapman). Because of health issues, Bonnie moved in with her daughter Jessica in October 2019 and lived out the rest of her days on an acreage north of Sundre Alberta.
Although Bonnie’s life seemed short to some, it was full of love, pride and happiness. She was an amazing mother, sister, aunt, grandma and friend to so many lucky people.
After a lengthy battle with diabetes and congestive heart failure, Bonnie passed away suddenly at the Sundre Hospital on February 29, 2020 .
A memorial service will be held on June 28, 2020 at Sheppard’s Family Park, High River Alberta.

Candace, Jennifer, Angela, Bert, & Jessica and families, we are so heart broken for you over the loss of your Mom. She was such a caring, compassionate and loving mom who loved her kids and grandkids so much! Her eyes lit up when she talked about them. She was known by many as a great baker and Turtle maker but truly as a great friend !! Cherish the memories as they will help you get through the tough days ahead. R.I.P. my friend
Deepest Sympathy from Len and Pat Zebedee and family
