Obituary for Annette Marie McDow

Annette Marie McDow of Kingston, Nova Scotia, passed away at her home in Innisfail, Alberta, on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the age of 60 years. Annette was born in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia to Delbert and Olive McDow. She grew up in North Kingston and attended West Kings High School and later graduated from Middleton Community College. Annette was a foster mother to many children in Nova Scotia, and she was also the President of the M.S Society of Nova Scotia; as well as a Brownie and 4H Leader. Throughout her career, Annette worked for multiple Human Services Agencies; always working to improve the lives of others, both in Nova Scotia and Alberta. Annette loved being near the ocean and on the farm. She was known by those around her as caring, kind, honest, willful, funny and a determined individual. She was always ready to help anyone who was in need. Annette was devoted to her children and grandchildren; they were the focus of her life and she loved them without limits. Annette will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Todd Hennessey (Michele) and Joshua Hennessey (Shaina) of Innisfail, Alberta, her daughter, Shannon Harink (Jarri) of Stettler, Alberta and her mother, Olive McDow (Levy) of Nova Scotia, and her ten grandchildren. She will also be deeply missed by her three brothers, Steven McDow, Jeffery McDow and Brian McDow and her two sisters, Jayne Smith and Cathie MacIntosh, all of Nova Scotia. Annette was predeceased by her father, Delbert McDow and a brother, Bronson McDow.
