Obituary for Alice Sjogren

Alice Sjogren
February 13, 1937 – February 20, 2020

SJOGREN, Alice (nee Poztowski) passed away peacefully at the Rosefield Centre in Innisfail, Alberta on February 20, 2020 at the age of 83.
Alice was born in Athabasca and grew up near Rumsey, where she met her future husband. She and Charlie had 5 children and were married for 48 years. Charlie’s work as a grain buyer meant relocating periodically, and Alice and Charlie called a number of small Alberta communities home throughout their lives. However, their most precious home was the Windmill Ranch just outside of Ohaton where they farmed and gardened and raised Angus cattle for 15 years.
Alice is survived and sadly missed by her children Shirley Karman, Les (Nella) Sjogren, Carolyn (Jim) Tainsh, Stan Sjogren, and Roger (Lynness) Sjogren; grandchildren Jessica (Stephen), Justin, Lindsay, Jamie (Sean), Ashley (Andre), Kyle (Samantha), Landon, and Shane; great-grandchildren Luke, Beau, Jesse, and Olivia; siblings Ernie, Agnes, Marion, Liz, Irene, and Sylvia; and numerous friends and rela-tives.
Alice was predeceased by her husband Charles in 2004.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday February 28, 2020 at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel, 5226 46 Street, Olds, Alberta.
