Obituary for Aage Nusa "Nusa" Wendelboe

Aage Wendelboe
April 27, 1929 – Sept 3, 2020.

Aage Wendelboe, known to most as Nusa, was born in Denmark, April 27, 1929. He immigrated to Alberta with his parents at 6 months of age. Nusa grew up on the family homestead at Eagle Hill and remained in the Olds area for most of his life. He left farming for a career in agricultural mechanics and built a successful business in Olds, Greenline Farm Equipment, with his partner Don Bennett. Nusa was active in many community groups, umpired baseball, coached minor hockey and played drums in a number of bands. The Soft Shoe was his most recent musical endeavor. When Nusa retired from Greenline, he turned his skills to the restoration of antiques - Ford tractors, vintage farm equipment, and pump engines. Gunsmithing and woodworking were also hobbies where Nusa excelled and he was always willing to contribute his knowledge to help others. Nusa was predeceased by his wife, Bernice Charlotte Wendelboe (known as Bunny) and his son, Leslie Wendelboe. He is survived and deeply missed by his son, Stephen (Carol) Wendelboe, his daughter Linda Wendelboe (George); his grandsons, Thomas and Nathan Wendelboe and Nicholas and Adam Green. A Celebration of Nusa’s Life is planned for spring 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to Legacy Land Trust or the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.
