LINDA LOUISE CRITES
1956 – 2018
Mrs. Linda Crites of Penhold, Alberta passed away at the Innisfail Health Care Centre on September 28, 2018 at the age of 61 years. Linda was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Viola and Richard Scutchings. She met Bob Crites in 1991 when she worked at the Penhold Air Base and it was love at first sight. They married in 1992 and lived on the base until moving to Wainright for six years. They came back to Penhold where Linda provided daily care and love to many children for 26 years. Linda also loved volunteering in the community at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club, meat draws at the Penholder and the Penhold and District Optimist Club. Her relaxing time was spent with her dress club girls, and she loved ceramics, especially angels and gardening and looked forward to their yearly corn roast of 20 years. Linda also loved spending time with her dogs Buddy, Dallas and Pepper. Linda will be sadly missed by her husband Bob of 26 years, her daughter Connie (Kirby) Tate Hill of Edmonton and her son Garrioch (Justess) Crites of Penhold and her three grandchildren Parker, Jamin and Oakley. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Doug, Alice May and Uncle Ray as well as her sister in law Sandy (Chris) and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held at the Penhold Memorial Hall on October 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Samaritans (Samaritans On Bikes is an anti bullying advocate) or the Penhold & District Optimist Club.
