Obituary for James Raymond Robertson

ROBERTSON
James (Jim) Raymond Robertson started his life in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan on August 27, 1942 and was raised by his parents Ewart and Ethel Robertson in Calgary. He peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father on January 30, 2018. His wife of 50 years, 11 children, 44 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many foster children, will greatly miss his steady presence in their lives. His family came first as he loved spending time with them at their acreage home. He was their 'gentle giant'. He exemplified Christ-like behavior and left a legacy of being friendly, kind and accepting of everyone. He was predeceased by his parents Ewart and Ethel Robertson, and sister Doreen (Herb) Parker. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Shari (Moench), children Amanda (David) Clark, Marlo (John) Robertson-Thompson, Andrea (David) Leonard , Aimee (David) Miller, Emma (Curtis) Fisher, Greg (Leslie) Robertson, Mahiri (Richard) Vitug, Gary (Heather) Robertson, Elena (Jason) Durette, Alicia (Adam) Spiller, Elorah (Alexander) Radford, his sisters- Noreen (Alan) Shook and Myrna (Lyman) Warkins, along with other family members and countless friends. Jim also loved fancy cars, desserts, and spending time in nature. Ranger rides will be forever remembered with Grandpa. He enjoyed entertaining friends, making others laugh with his contagious and unforgettable laughter. Family and friends celebrated his life on February 3rd at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Innisfail. He was laid to rest in Eagle Valley Cemetery. He had faith that life goes beyond this earthly existence, and he will one day be reunited with his grand posterity.
