Obituary for John "Doug" Douglas Coleman

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of John Douglas Coleman on February 7, 2017. He was born December 13, 1932 in Didsbury, AB. The oldest son of four born to Stan and Ruby Coleman. Raised on the farm north west of Cremona where he attended the Big Prairie school until eighth grade. On the farm all the work was done with horses from plowing to threshing. In 1962, Doug bought his own piece of land west of Elkton by the Fallen Timber Creek. In 1966 he married Sharon Campbell together they started farming the only way he knew how….with horses. He took pride in his way of farming and continued it until he retired. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Sharon, his children Wanda her children Lonnie (Jessica) their children Ruby and William, Tanis, Jessie (Melissa); Brian (Colleen) their children Taylor and Luke; Bruce (Wilda); Tina (James) their children Carter, Nicholas, Katelynn and Jake; Darcy (Stephanie) their child Emma. He was predeased by this parents Stan and Ruby; infant brother Orval and brothers Clarence and Robert. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society or to S.T.A.R.S Air Ambulance.
